Online People Management Training for CQC Registered Organisations
2Manage is a training provider that offers Online (Zoom or Microsoft Teams) training for Board members along with Registered Managers and Supervisors of CQC Registered GP Practices, Nursing/Care Homes, Independent Hospitals, Dental Practices and Hospices.
Tailored for CQC registered services, rather than being generic employment guidance. The training sessions are small, relaxed, and interactive, with no more than ten delegates.
Evening and weekend sessions are available upon request. Additionally, all courses can be exclusively delivered to a team of staff at a single organisation. The training is based on 36+ years of people management experience.

Our Trainer
Empowering Through Knowledge
Leon Steer is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and has been an executive Director in health & social care for 26+ years, initially as an HR Director followed by 17 years as the Chief Executive of a portfolio of care homes, extra care housing schemes and homecare services. He is the Chair of the Board of Rotherfield St Martin a multi-award-winning charity, including the King's Award for Voluntary Service, that supports almost 300 older people. Leon lives in Tunbridge Wells, Kent with his wife, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, two granddaughters and three grandsons.
During a 26+ years career as an executive Director in CQC registered health & social care, he has advised on innumerable poor performance and misconduct cases, some of which included representation from the largest trade unions in the UK. As well as providing advice, as an executive Director in health & social care, he chaired discipline and appeal hearings. Disappointingly, some of these cases resulted in summary dismissal plus referral to the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC). On occasions, some misconduct cases resulted in the arrest of an employee at work and taken directly into police custody. Regrettably, in some cases, if the employee’s line manager had acted sooner, this action may not have been necessary.
Effective employees and leadership reduce this risk along with poor practice, and most importantly, it improves outcomes for clients/patients. An ineffective leadership and workforce can be extremely harmful to clients/patients, which can result in legal proceedings, plus the Care Quality Commission (CQC) imposing sanctions on an organisation’s registration.
