Service Description

In line with the Well-led requirements, CQC registered services must demonstrate that they foster a positive workplace culture where staff feel safe to speak up and confident that their concerns will be taken seriously. Reporting bullying or harassment requires a great deal of courage. Staff must feel reassured that their complaints will be handled with sensitivity and that they will be protected during and after any investigation. If left unaddressed, bullying and harassment can severely impact staff wellbeing and, in some cases, affect the quality of care provided to service users. This course equips managers and supervisors with the people management strategies needed to identify bullying and harassment, support affected staff and appropriately address misconduct. It also supports services in evidencing compliance with CQC expectations around creating a culture of openness and safety. Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, learners will be able to: • Understand what constitutes bullying and harassment • Recognise unacceptable behaviour in the workplace • Identify the impact of such behaviour on teams and service users • Support staff who have been affected • Manage individuals responsible for bullying or harassment • Promote team-wide awareness and proper reporting procedures Who is the course for?
